I have a friend who lives about an hour away from Louisville. Mr. Smith and Brian go to Louisville every year for a farm exhibition. So, a few weeks ago I came up with the plan to ride with them and then have my friend Tiffany pick me up and take me back to her house. As I planned I started getting SO excited. Mr. Smith said it would be fine to ride with him. We were supposed to leave at 5:20 Friday morning so we could be there before 9:00. We were to return Saturday at noon. But, as usual, plans got changed. Brian called Wednesday morning and said that we were supposed to get snow Thursday night which might make it hard to leave Friday morning. He asked if I would mind leaving Thursday morning instead. I told him I would check with Tiffany. We worked on the plans out and it ended up being better than the other way!
We left about 5:40 on Thursday. I had made plans with Tiffany to meet at Cracker Barrel at the exit were the Smith's were going. We got there within two minutes of each other. It was very good timing. The Smith's just dropped me off and went on to their show. Tiffany and I went in and had breakfast. We had a wonderful time from the start.
That evening the Popes (Tiffany's family) decided to have a Valentine's party. It was so much fun! I didn't know it was going on until Tiffany came into the kitchen wear a poodle skirt and the whole 50's outfit! She looked SO cute. Her dad came up from work and went into his room to change. When he came out I thought I was going to burst with laugher! Tiffany had drawn a "tatoo" on his arm with make up and he had a bandana tied on his other arm. It is mostly hidden by his milkshake.
We had hamburgers, fries, and milkshakes for supper.
Here is the whole family. Except of course for Mr. Pope because he was taking the picture.
Mr. and Mrs. Pope
It was a wonderful two day. I loved every minute of it. Tiffany and I got to go to a beautiful tea room for lunch in Louisville on Friday. We ate there for Beckisue's birthday in November. It is such a beautiful place. It was lots of fun.
The whole trip was so much fun but it went by far to fast!
