I read a tweet this morning about taking out trash that made me laugh first then made me think of a childhood memory later.
When I was very little and still lived in the Arizona we didn't have trash pick up and neither did my grandparents. Once a week my grandparents would take the trash to the dump. My siblings and I loved to go along and would take turns doing so. It was a big deal because it was an outing with Grandma and Grandpa. It didn't matter where we were going, we were just going somewhere with them! Grandma and Grandpa used to sing "To the dump, to the dump, to the dump dump dump."
When I told my mom about that this morning she said she wondered what her grandchildren would remember about her. :)
Sorry about that terrible title. I couldn't resist. Besides, my mom said it first anyway. :)
